El proyecto se propone recopilar, recuperar y visibilizar a autoras de historieta y humor gráfico de Argentina, desde inicios del siglo XX hasta la actualidad. Busca construir una genealogía del medio historietístico local desde la perspectiva de géneros y Diversidades. No se trata solo de reponer la presencia de mujeres historietistas sino de repensar el campo gráfico de la producción de viñetas y sus narrativas, personajes y creadoras.
Ante la usual construcción que afirma que “pocas mujeres hacen historieta”, el archivo responde no solo con una enorme cantidad de autoras de todas las épocas, sino también con un trabajo de interpretación, divulgación y recorridos múltiples para encontrar no sólo una línea temporal, sino también uniones temáticas que se cruzan y entretejen en una enorme diversidad de estilos y narrativas, proponiendo una genealogía que va más allá de la periodización.
